Our History

About Us

Our core produce includes basil, chives, spring onion, mint, parsley, microgreens, lettuce and coriander. These crops thrive in controlled‑environment hydroponic and aquaponic systems that recirculate water and nutrients, ensuring consistently fresh, high‑quality results while using only about one‑tenth of the water required by traditional farming.
We also cultivate a range of seasonal horticultural crops – kaffir lime leaves, lemons, limes, dalo (taro) leaves, pawpaw, banana and mango. These fruits and leaves are grown in our orchards and are available at certain times of the year to complement our core offerings. For retailers and food‑service clients, our produce is available in custom‑labelled clamshells or bags, or in bulk. No matter how you choose to receive your order, freshness is always delivered.

Our History

Origins (2001)

Jack’s Restaurants Limited searched for fresh ingredients to support their innovative menus. This led to the formation of Jack’s Farms Limited in 2001. The farms are a vital part of the Jack’s Group of Companies’ strategy to diversify into greener, sustainable ventures.

Growth & Diversification

Starting with hybrid mango orchards at Legalega, the farm diversified into aquaponics farming, combining aquaculture and hydroponics to grow a variety of organic crops. The business added beekeeping, fruit‑crop orchards, horticultural farming and commercial landscaping to its operations.

Today: Jack’s Farms operates two sites

Legalega Farm (11.2 hectares)

Originally focused on mango hybrids; now the farm hosts an aquaponics system where fish waste fertilises crops. This soil‑less, closed‑loop system recirculates water and uses around 10 % of the water required by conventional agriculture.

Malolo Farm (16 acres)

Includes a large plant nursery for interior/exterior ornamentals and maintains a fruit orchard producing Meyer lemons, seedless limes, hybrid guavas, passion fruits and avocados.
