Apiculture

Our farm is home to a growing apiculture division. Bees not only support the pollination of our orchards but also allow us to produce pure Fijian honey. Honey is harvested and bottled on site and sold through local supermarkets and Jack’s retail outlets

To encourage beekeeping in the wider community, we supply apiculture equipment including hives, frames, smokers and protective clothing. Bees are vital pollinators; nearly 90 % of wild plant species and 75 % of leading global crops rely on animal pollination. By maintaining healthy hives and sharing knowledge, we help sustain biodiversity and improve yields for farmers and gardeners across Fiji.

Beekeeping at Jack’s Farms

Beekeeping is a key emerging area at Jack’s Farms. The apiary provides honey and bee by‑products that are sold through local supermarkets, Jack’s retail outlets and used in the group’s restaurants. The farm also offers honey‑supplies and beekeeping equipment to local beekeepers and hobbyists; its contact listing notes P.O. Box 259, Nadi, Phone +679 670 0744 and Email farms@jacksfiji.com.

Importance of Bees

Bees are vital pollinators for our orchards and for global agriculture. According to WWF, almost 90 % of wild plant species and about 75 % of the world’s leading global crops depend on animal pollination, and one in every three mouthfuls of food we eat relies on pollinators such as bees. By maintaining healthy hives, Jack’s Farms supports biodiversity and improves fruit yields in its orchards. Honey production also offers a natural, wholesome product for customers and provides extra income for the farm.

Bee‑Products and Services

In addition to honey, the farm’s apiculture division supplies equipment such as bee hives, frames, smokers and beekeeping suits to local beekeepers. Visitors can learn about beekeeping practices, see how bees are managed and understand the role of pollinators in sustainable agriculture.
